Is there a openvz version logwatch that can report the data from each VE in 1 consolidated report so I can reduce the amount of emails I'm getting? it would be nice to see consolidated data.

Hi

You could setup a central syslog server on one of the containers, and then have the others log to that.

Then run logwatch on the central syslog server.

Oh that's a very interesting idea. Thanks I don't know why I spaced on using syslog like that.

Doesn't logwatch monitor services not controlled by syslog? or do I need to configure those service to log to syslog and call it a day?

I think it does a mixture of both - but things like Apache you can get to log to syslog with a basic script and piped logging.
