I am encountering a typical problem. Whenever I boot with openvz kernel in CentOS 4.4->4.5 HN, the screen blanks out. However with the centos 4.5 kernel it works fine. I have installed openvz in several machines (with centos and debian as HNs), but I have never encountered similar problem. I have upgraded the kernel to development version (2.6.22) also, but in vain.

Could anyone suggest me what have gone wrong?

Well, the first idea came to me - do you try to install the OVZ kernels of appropriate architectures? i mean use i686 if you have i686 OS installed and x86_64 kernel if you have x86_64 host OS.

Next thing to be checked, i think - to recreate initrd image manually and check its content - compare with the content of initrd for working CentOS kernel.

If your problem is solved - please, report it!
It's even more important than reporting the problem itself...

I guess you booted mainstrea 2.6.18 OVZ kernel and mostlikely it lacks of compiled-in some of framebuffers support.

All parameters are alright like i686, but this is the first time that I encountered such a problem! I uninstalled and reinstalled vzkernel too, but without success. Any hints?
