Does the OpenVZ kernel allow for auditd to run inside a container?

I can't seem to get it to start, and I'm wondering if it's because it's OpenVZ.

I found some references that seem to indicate there is an issue, but all of those are back in 2009 and 2011. I wasn't sure if those ever got resolved or if people just stopped trying to get auditd running in an OpenVZ container.

Hello zovet,

It's not possible to use audit daemon inside containers.
