I found a command on the OpenVZ wiki, and I would like to know more about it.

The command is:
vzctl set CTID --ipadd a.b.c.d --save

So, does this work with PUBLIC IPs? For Example I have 5 IPs assigned to my dedicated server, and I want to create 4 Containers each having different Public IP. So, only this command is needed or something more?

Thanks in advance.

Of course it works for public IPs... The only thing you should make sure is that the other 4 IPs aren't bind to your ethernet card. So, keep one IP for your hardware node, release other 4 IPs and assign them to containers using the command you've mentioned.
