In Virtuozzo, if you login to the hardware node and do a netstat -ptan, you'll see all connections to the server.
In OpenVZ I don't see any of the connections to the VE's. Is this normal? Can I change it? It's convenient being able to monitor all connections from the hardware node.
SL 6.1 with 2.6.32-042stab039.3.

netstat command should be available on the hardware node to see all connections. On the RHEL5 OpenVZ kernel you can execute a netstat and see all connections to all VPS's. I believe this is a bug on the new RHEL 6 kernel.
I am trying to do the same as you and are finding it troublesome not having netstat command on the node - submit a bug report about it and see what they say. A node based netstat command is very much needed.
Or is there some system setting that needs to be turned on for this to work? Something in /proc ?
