Hello all,

# modinfo nvme
filename: /lib/modules/2.6.32-042stab127.2/kernel/drivers/block/nvme.k o
version: 0.10

And it's extremely slow with Intel P4510.

Is it possible to use modern nvme driver with Openvz 6? Where can I find some istructions about it?

Thanks

Dear Nick,
we inherit hardware drivers from RHEL6 kernel and have no interest to update any of them without important reasons.

We are very happy that Red Hat does maintenance, security fixes and testing for huge number of drivers.
Comparing with Red Hat we are quite small company specialized on containers virtualization,
we can successfully co-operate with Red Hat, we can find and fix critical bugs in their product.
However we do not have competences, human and hardware resources for hardware maintenance, Red Hat does it much better.
We have played this game in past and we know how easy to broke one configuration by small fix for some other hardware.

If you want to use some other driver version -- please feel free to configure dkms on affected nodes,
it allows to use any custom drivers.

Thank you,
Vasily Averin
