Hi,
I've been provided with a .hdd file from my former hosts, and I need to be able to get back the main filesystem out of it, but I can't seem to fdisk it to see partitions and all the guides online show how to mount stuff inside containers, but i want to mount a hdd in a none openvz system to get some files out.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Manage to sort it after I got a hold of the DiskDescriptor.xml file.

Ploop convert -f raw to get it to an x86 boot sector file type

gdisk to conver tfrom GPT partition to MBR

then kpartx to get the devicemapper
