I'm looking through the users guide (, I guess it's pretty old since it mentions commands like "vzpkgls" to list the available templates, but it looks like the vzpkg stuff is obsolete? So what command would I use to replace vzpkgls? vzctl doesn't seem to have anything like that.

I'm new to OpenVZ, but was surprised that the user's guide, which is linked on the top-level front page, seems to be severely out-of-date.

If it's just a plain list of local templates you are interested in, simply list the contents of the /vz/template/cache directory.

Unless you've put anything else in there, it should show you all the templates on that particular hardware node an nothing else.
