Kernel 2.6.18-194.8.1.el5.028stab070.5;
vzctl.x86_64 3.0.24.2-1 installed.

/proc/bean_counters:
Quote:
Version: 2.5
resource held maxheld barrier limit failcnt
kmemsize 3595718 5381809 13631488 15728640 0
lockedpages 0 113 256 256 4
privvmpages 14335 76626 65536 69632 0
shmpages 769 785 21504 21504 2
dummy 0 0 0 0 0
numproc 20 28 240 240 0

Please notice that lockedpages and shmpages are both > 0,
while maxheld for these 2 parameters < barrier.

How this could be? Is failcnt increases every time it hits barrier?

Perhaps did you try to launch 2 times a job which employs more than 21000 shmpages? Such a job can crash with "bus error" (or other) without modifying "maxheld"...

No, I was starting postfix. It failed first time. Though it don't use shared memory. At least as far as I know. ipcs doesn't show up anything.

Thank you
