Hello,

Well it looked like I install OpenVZ alright but when I try to start it keeps saying FAILED when I do a Kernel Check (uname -a) I get servername 2.6.9-11.ELsmp Is this the proper kernel?

I am currently running CentOS 4 is there something I need to do?

Thanks,

You have to configure your bootloader and reboot the machine to the OpenVZ kernel, as described in Quick installation.

I did my grub.conf looks like this
title OpenVZ (2.6.8-022stab034.1)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.8-022stab034.1 ro root=LABEL=/
initrd /initrd-2.6.8-022stab034.1.img

Does having CentOS4 have something to do with this?

I followed the Quick Install exculty.

I got a error saying something about %scriptlet and something

Could this be the reason?

Thanks,

you probably need to change "default=..." value in grub.conf before doing restart or select OVZ kernel on reboot manually from GRUB menu.

have you an error during creation of initrd image?
Try to create new initrd image manually, by using mkinitrd

Thank you,
