Hi All

I am installing openVZ on a x86_64 Centos5 server, ive gone through the wizard until i come to the build cache stage.

when i type: vzpkgcache -f centos-5-x86_64-default
i get:

cp: cannot stat `/etc/sysconfig/vz-scripts//ve-vps.basic.conf-sample': No such file or directory
ERROR: Can't copy VPS config

I can't seem to get past this stage, i've gone back through reading everything i did on the setup process and don't believe I've missed anything.

Can someone give me a pointer to what i've done wrong?

Cheers

Hi,

vzpkg is obsolte, so some modifikation are not up to date,
since 2009-01-27 sample config file 'vps.basic' was renamed 'basic'

ve-vps.basic.conf-sample -> ve-basic.conf-sample

two possible solution:

1) vzpkg should be fixed, but obsolete!

file cache-os
http://git.openvz.org/?p=vzpkg ;a=blob;f=cache-os;h=997ef633a3ffdbe30522bab68fa67b9617d2fdc c;hb=22a86a55d6bd4580cceff02998746dce8f4d011a

line: 104

fill a bug report against vzpkg at bugzilla.openvz.org

2) create sym link to act. config-file
% ln -s /etc/vz/conf/ve-basic.conf-sample /etc/vz/conf/ve-vps.basic.conf-sample

Bye,
Thorsten

Hi

I dont understand your response?

wiki.openvz .org/ Install_OpenVZ_on_a_x86_64_system_Centos-Fedora

I am following this, i am on stage 12 and wanting to do the stage to build the cache template that on the example shows vzpkgcache -f centos-4-x86_64-minimal

should i be ignoring this guide if so is their any other guides?
