Hello,

I need a little help with dpkg. It isn't openvz bug, but maybe someone know how to solve this:

I tried to alien 2.6.32-feoktistov.1.rpm to .deb

used alien --scripts kernel-2.6.32-feoktistov.1.x86_64.rpm
then alien -i --scripts kernel_2.6.32-1_amd64.deb

but something went wrong, and now it gives me that:

dpkg: error processing kernel_2.6.32-1_amd64.deb (--install):
subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
dpkg: error while cleaning up:
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
kernel_2.6.32-1_amd64.deb
Unable to install at /usr/share/perl5/Alien/Package/Deb.pm line 92.

Now I can't use apt-get at all, can't install nor remove anything. Trying to do anything with apt-get and it drops me:


apt-get install cacti
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: The package kernel needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.
