I have been doing several other things but I'm pretty sure the update to the latest OpenVZ kernel on the HN is what changed this. Seems my VPS's use quite a bit less memory now. I am not talking a few meg's here. I am talking up to 100Megs.

What changed or perhaps it's something else? Whatever it is this is a good thing as long as everything still works. Still find it kind of hard to believe the VPS's suddenly use this much less memory. Perhaps the memory reporting was incorrect before or is now? I'm skeptical if this is for real so I'll be looking into it in more detail.

I do see from the kernel change log there are a few mentions of memory related changes so maybe it is for real. If that's the case I guess the kernel wasn't very optimized for memory usage before.
