Hey Guys,

We are seeing a peculiar issue with one of our hardware node(host), the time keeps falling behind. We have NTP running in the server syncing time with time.nist.gov
The command below shows the lag in time after and before syncing it using rdate.

[root@myserver ~]# date ; rdate -s rdate.cpanel.net ; date
Tue May 19 13:54:35 PDT 2009
Tue May 19 14:21:28 PDT 2009

There are no relevant messages in the messages log. The kernel running in the host node is 2.6.18-92.1.18.el5.028stab060.8ent

Has anyone come across this issue ? We've had the manufacturer of the server look into this issue but they haven't found out anything else.

Any input will be much appreciated. Thanks !
