MySQL constantly crashing [message #33977]

I'm facing a problem on one of my VE's where MySQL is constantly crashing. At first, I noticed that some beancounters were being hit, but I've increased sufficiently enough that the fail counts are no longer increasing (and naturally they aren't being hit). However, the problem still remains. MySQL just stops responding to requests. I have the MySQL error log enabled, however it displays no useful information.

I am running MySQL 5.0.51a-community which happens to run just fine on other VEs that are actually on the same node. I also tried running a later version, but it made no difference, so I reverted back.
