Dump is much faster than restore [message #23567]

I played around online migration and noticed that

vzctl restore $name --undump --dumpfile img_file takes about 2.5 s (on another host) , whereas

chkpnt $name --dump --dumpfile img_file - only 0.2s .

Is it normal behaviour ? (2.6.18-8.1.15.el5.028stab047.1PAE)
