i have a challenge ahead of me and i would appreciate some help please on the best new configuration for a very fast growing website that has reached the limit of its current server. currently the site is hosted on a single quad cpu machine facing the web

i read that HyperVM is potentially a tool which will easily allow me using OpenVZ to make a large single VE from many physical servers. when i need more power i can simply add another physical server to the large VE

my current fuzzy idea is to add a router facing the web infront of the current webserver to create a Private Network, then add another server to the router. there will be then 2 servers plugged into a router facing the net

i will then install OpenVZ on both servers and create a large VE within the first server and install the website into that VE. using HyperVM i can add ther second server to the first VE to load share

please, is this a good idea or have i got it all wrong? is it better for the router to link the physical boxes on their second NIC behind so all the boxes are with their own external ip's facing the web?

many thanks in advance, i will of course post the solution when we have it
