I installed the latest dev kernel on a 3 Ghz pertium system with a raid 1 root partition. The install modified the menu.lst file so all I did was change to boot from 0 instead of the default which was changed by the install of openvz to 1.

The system does not get to the grub boot menu. After displaying the normal bios info, it just stops.

Is there a problem with using raid 1 root/boot partitions? I'm very confused as to why grub didn't even get loaded. I'm reloading CentOS 4.4 now.

Yes, before you ask, it did boot fine before the install of http://download.openvz.org/kernel/devel/current/kernel-2.6.1 8-ovz028test018.1.i686.rpm

Thanks,
Jim.
