Hii,
I want to install OpenVZ on Ubuntu but I can't install the kernel. The command "uname -a" shows not the kernel that I have installed.
After downloading OpenVZ, the command "apt-cache search ovzkernel" shows me these kernel here:
linux-image-2.6.18-12-fza-486 - OpenVZ Linux kernel binary image for
version 2.6.18-12-fza-486
linux-image-2.6.18-12-fza-686 - OpenVZ Linux kernel binary image for
version 2.6.18-12-fza-686
linux-image-2.6.18-12-fza-686-bigmem - OpenVZ Linux kernel binary image
for version 2.6.18-12-fza-686-bigmem
I have tried to install each of them, I get also the message that the kernel is installed. But as I mentioned before, the command "uname -a" gives me another kernel.
I dont know, whether I downloaded OpenVZ not correctly, because first I get an error message about the public key and I downloaded by typing "sudo" before the download command.
Has anyone an idea to fix the problem? Can anyone help me ?
greetings,
elturco
