Hello,

I want to set up some test VEs for the purposes of modelling a
network. Consequenlty I have one VE set up as a router, with three
interfaces, routing between three private subnets, each with VEs.

I have found that because of the default the venet devices get, I
don't need the router, which somewhat spoils what I want to do! If I
remove the default route, and try to add the router's ip, I get
RTNETLINK answers: Network is unreachable.

I skimmed the content of the networking section on the wiki, and am
now more confused! How should I go about this?

The objective is:

Network 1 (10.1.1.1/24) - contains 3 machines
Network 2 (192.168.2.1/24) - contains 3 machines
Network 3 (10.1.2.2/24) - containts 3 machines

All route via the the router.

So I have 10 VEs.

I saw an entry for source-based routing too, should I use this?

Thanks,

S.
