The solution is echo 2.6.9 > /proc/sys/kernel/virt_osrelease

[root@spv507 ~]# vzctl start 1000
Starting VPS ...
VPS is mounted
Adding IP address(es): xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
FATAL: kernel too old
Setting CPU units: 100000
FATAL: kernel too old
File resolv.conf was modified
VPS start in progress...
FATAL: kernel too old

[root@spv507 ~]# uname -r
2.6.8-022stab072.2-enterprise

Any ideas on that one?
