There isn't anything specific to 64-bit installs. What problems did you run into?
The install isn't complicated at all - add openvz yum repository, use yum to install openvz kernel, vzctl, vzquota, edit /etc/sysctl.conf, disable selinux, doublecheck that your openvz kernel is set to be the default and reboot.
That's it.
And you are correct, vzpkg, vzrpm43 and vzrpm43-python are obsolete, you don't need them.
