Hi Guys,
I'm getting incorrect disk space reported from within a VE.
Host:
CentOS 5 Linux 2.6.18-194.17.1.el5.028stab070.7PAE #1 SMP Fri Oct 1 15:04:11 MSD 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
[root@vz03 ~]# rpm -qva |grep vz
vzquota-3.0.12-1
ovzkernel-PAE-2.6.18-194.17.1.el5.028stab070.7
VE: CentOS 5 template (custom)
Ok here's the problem:
[root@vz03 private]# du -hs 203
38G 203
That's 38G a VE! with 54G:56G allocated to it!
[root@vz03 ~]# vzquota show 203
vzquota : (warning) Quota is running, so data reported from quota file may not reflect current values
resource usage softlimit hardlimit grace
1k-blocks 3817380 54525952 56623104
inodes 42761 684418 742860
Yet, when it thinks there is 15G!! Which is what was previously allocated to the VE.
[root@vz03 ~]# vzctl exec 203 df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/simfs 15G 3.7G 7.4G 34% /
I also have the same issue with a copy of this VE on another host.
I think I've hit a bug, but I'm not 100% sure, so I thought I'd check here before filing a report.
Edit: I found the solution was to reinitialize the quotas. I did not realise that quotas were enabled by default.
# vzquota drop 203
# vzctl start 203
