Hello I have a basic vps running the ubuntu 8.04 minimal template and it has Firefox installed on it.

I run that firefox using ssh from another host. The browser appears and it all works fine until it needs to deliver a page with a load of graphical content.

I checked /proc/bc/resources and I can see that I have failures on the "tcprcvbuf" resource.

I am surprised that something as basic as running a web browser fail like this so I assume I am doing something wrong.

Is "tcprcvbuf" a resource that would normally need to be changed and, if so, what should it be changed to ?

Or am I missing something else?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, /proc/user_beancounters output shows you the current resource consumption and if there any failcounters there you should increase the appropriate barrier and limit values.
