hello
i have a centos 5.2 server running on 2.6.18-92.1.18.el5.028stab060.8
and have some vms builded from centos-5-i386-minimal-5.2-20090117.tar.gz
now i have do a yum update on the host system and get centos 5.3
on the vms now i get this message, when i want to execute rpm or yum:
[root@mx2 /]# rpm
rpm: error while loading shared libraries: libelf.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[root@mx2 /]# yum
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:
libelf.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Please install a package which provides this module, or
verify that the module is installed correctly.
It's possible that the above module doesn't match the
current version of Python, which is:
2.4.3 (#1, May 24 2008, 13:47:28)
[GCC 4.1.2 20070626 (Red Hat 4.1.2-14)]
If you cannot solve this problem yourself, please go to
the yum faq at:
http://wiki.linux.duke.edu/YumFaq
[root@mx2 /]#
any tips?
thanks
zeki
