Hi, I have problem with samba inside vps.
VPS is running Samba version 3.0.10-1.4E.6 (CentOS 4.3 template) working as PDC.
Everything was working fine for about month but today I noticed that there is an error in /proc/user_beancounters. The problem is that restarting VPS or samba doesn't change anything the failcnt value stays the same (I increased numflock about x0.5). The strange thing is that file sharing and domain logins are working fine, nobody complains for now.
What is the safe value for this parameter?
Does anybody had similar problem with samba?

The fails probably happened before you increased the numflock parameter, as maxheld value is way below barrier.
If you really want to reset failcnts, you need to stop your VE for about five minutes:
vzctl stop VEID; sleep 5m; vzctl start VEID
If that doesn't help, you have to reboot the Hardware node in order to reset beancounters.
