Hello!

I have several servers with openvz (adminstrated through HyperVM) and sometimes on few of them I can see two init processes where one of them consumes 100% of cpu. What is the possible reason for that?

When I killl this process it does help but probably after some time problem occurs again. Below I show how it looked from top command:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
 8816 root 25 0 1756 680 592 R 100 0.0 1529:49 init

Thank you for any help.

Hi,

I didn't catch you. Did you see two init process inside VE or inside HN?

Did it consume this value for a long time?

3. If you come across this issue another time, please show
"cat /proc/PID/status" "cat /proc/PID/wchan" where PID is the pid of that process?

4. What OS templates do you use? Is there a particular template that you use for all problem VEs?

Thank You!
