I just upgraded my VEs using yum to Fedora 8. Now i'm seeing the time in UTC instead of Pacific time. What would I be doing wrong?

I figured it out. I had to delete the /etc/localtime file and symlink it to the correct one in /usr/share/zoneinfo

This worked for me as well. I would like to note for those who didn't get it; here is the exact commands that I ran:

Move the old file and keep a backup:
root@ovz101:/var/log# mv /etc/localtime /etc/localtime.old

Here we create a symlink to the correct TZ. Don't forget to change out the "<Canada>/<Easter>" with your TZ.

root@ovz101:/var/log# ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/<Canada>/<Eastern> /etc/localtime

.../O
