Hi,

1. Sorry for delay!
2. The message "initscripts conflicts with kernel < 2.6.12" means that there is a package, that provides kernel capability and it's version lower than new initscripts requires.
3. Please, delete old (version < 2.6.12) packages, that provide kernel capability and try again. That may be kernel or dummy packages.
4. "rpm -q --whatprovides kernel" helps you to observe such packages.

Thank You!

Hi,

1. I suppose, that you want to use yum inside VE to upgrade it.
2. Go inside VE and remove dummy-fedora-core-4-1.0-3.swsoft package.
3. Try to yum update.

Thank You!
