I noticed that during vps stop it doesnt run all that /etc/init.d/service stop , it just sends kill signal . For instance i have postgres service

[root@vps-101329 vps_core]# chkconfig --list | grep postgr
postgres 0:off 1:off 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off

Occasionally i noticed that script (/etc/init.d/postgres ) doesnt gets "stop" parameter during vps stop , although it gets "start" param during vps start

2.6.9-023stab044.4-enterprise #1 SMP
vzctl-lib-3.0.13-1
vzctl-3.0.13-1
vzquota-3.0.9-1

Could you please check what happens if you just enter this VE and execute "reboot"?

Normally vzctl does this on a VE stop and only if VE does not stop during a timeout SIGKILL sent to the VE processes.

If your problem is solved - please, report it!
It's even more important than reporting the problem itself...
