Heya,

my CentOs machine running 2.6.9-023stab040.1-smp reports lots of this messages:

TCP: time wait bucket table overflow
printk: 213 messages suppressed.

I checked the web for the solution and found this:
http://bugzilla.openvz.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460

The problem is that this fix is only valid for 2.6.18 kernels, but not for 2.6.9, which is default RHEL4 kernel.

So I am wondering what do you suggest:
a) fix the proc values with the right ones (tell me which are the right ones)?
b) upgrade to 2.6.18 (I dont know which kernel is better?)

thanks in advance, Jernej

Hello,

you can upgrade till linux-2.6.9-023stab043.2, there appropriate default values are chaged.

Vasily.
