I have a Fedora Core 6 OpenVZ VPS running (FC6 was released today at about 1400 GMT).

http://83.167.188.77/

-bash-3.1# cat /etc/redhat-release
Fedora Core release 6 (Zod)

It was a bit of rough and ready rush job but it seems to work. I've not created an OS template before. All I did was copy of /vz/tempate/fedora-core/5 to /vz/template/fedora-core/6 and fiddle with / edit the yum.conf to work with the FC6 repositories.

I kept the OpenVZ add-ons for Fedora Core the same as 5 which included these RPMS's

dummy-fedora-core-4-1.0-4.swsoft.i386.rpm
MAKEDEV-3.3.13-1.4.swsoft.i386.rpm
vzdev-3.3.13-1.4.swsoft.i386.rpm

I could tar this is up but I assume Openvz will have a metadata RPM available for FC6 shortly.

BestRegards
