Hi,
I have problem. I have 2 very old servers with openvz (debian 5.0.6, kernel 2.6.26-2-openvz-amd64, vzctl version 3.0.22). I know very - very old.
I need to upgrade them to newest but problem is how to migrate virtual hosts. Some of them has got installed software to which I don't have sources or configuration in brand new environment is very hard. How to migrate these virtual hosts ?

Yep, quite old. Smile

The universal plan for each Container is:
1) get new version (Virtuozzo 7 now Smile ), install on another node
2) create a new Container on Virtuozzo 7 node
3) configure new Container taking into account old Container configuration
(you can try to adjust diskspace of the new Container and then just take old Container config and put it instead of new CT config.
This probably won't work out of the box, but you can quickly find which settings are missing)
4) stop old Container, mount it; stop new Container, mount new Container, copy data from old Container to the new one

That's it.

Hope that helps.

If your problem is solved - please, report it!
It's even more important than reporting the problem itself...
