I read the following -
"By default, the root account is locked in a newly created Container, and you cannot log in."
Of course, you can enter with "vzctl" which I guess is some sort of higher-level openvz function.
The user guide then goes on to say "vzctl set 101 --userpasswd root:test" to set root password, which would could then allow root SSH (if you wanted to do this).
However, until a password is set, what exactly is the true nature of the root account? For example, if I created a non-root user and then SSH'd in, if I attempted to elevate to su, is it correct that this would not be possible?
So what does "locked" mean? Processes are still running as root.
Thanks
