I tried for searching for this on the forum and I saw the same question pop up few times with no answer so here it is again:

I have a container with a block device exposed to it. If I format it with ext3 or ext4 I can mount it just fine, but if I format it with xfs I can only mount it on the HN. Trying to mount it inside the container results in:

mount: unknown filesystem type 'xfs'

This is kind of expected given that /proc/filesystems inside the container does not have xfs listed, where it does show on the HN.

Is it possible to do this using the exposed block device, or do I need to go with bind mounts instead?

I am running Debian Wheezy, with the following kernel: 2.6.32-openvz-042stab084.17-amd64 and vzctl version 4.7.2-1.

probably I would go with bind mounts.

not sure if xfs is virtualized.
