Hi Guys,

We have been having issues with our OpenVZ for months now. We have been trying to find a soultion or at least someone else that is having the same issue as us but to date we have not been able to find anyone...

The issue is when the container is restarted the NETMASK (as shown below) reverts to a single IP Address on our 10.x.x.x IP range. Our public traffic runs through the other nic on the servers isnt effected.

Manually editing the file and amending it to "255.255.255.0" and restarting networking fixes the issue. Its clearly getting the config from somewhere... but where?

Also, we have an issue with our branch office being able to access any containers from ourside the network. This is because the gateway was set to 10.16.101.1 when we set these servers up and has since changed. We have changed the gateway on the nodes network config and rebooted but it is still doing it so there is a config issue somewhere

DEVICE=venet0:1
ONBOOT=yes
IPADDR=10.16.101.226
NETMASK=255.255.255.255

Can you guys lend a hand please

Networking

--ipadd addr

Adds an IP address addr to a given container. Address can optionally have a netmask specified in the CIDR notation (e.g. 10.1.2.3/25). Note that this option is incremental, so addr are added to already existing ones.
