Currently I'm using distro with kernel 2.4, it's ASPLinux Server II (which is RHEL 3 with some minor updates). Due to kernel versions difference, I can't use vz on it (or it's not so easy as for 2.6 based distro). Is there any workaround for such situations? Target system is used as company web-server with many virtual servers etc, and it will be quite nice to use vz there. Any suggestions?

You probably need new modutils, which supports 2.6 kernels. After that, you can use OpenVZ 2.6 kernel on the node.
