Hello,

My DC had a power issue so my servers where shutdown instantly, all of the VM's apart from two have come back up.

The two that can't boot have the following errors.

ploop mount /vz/private/106/root.hdd/DiskDescriptor.xml Opening delta /vz/private/106/root.hdd/root.hdd
Data cluster 1372288 beyond EOF, vsec=476006...
FATAL
Error in ploop_check (check.c:384): Fatal errors were found, image /vz/private/106/root.hdd/root.hdd is not repaired
Error in check_deltas (check.c:597): /vz/private/106/root.hdd/root.hdd : irrecoverable errors

Is there anyting that I can try or do to fix these errors?

Have tried ploop check e.t.c but just get the same above error.

I won't be able to help you much here, sorry, but I would like to ask: was this on a RAID with battery backup or plain SATA... or something different? Could you tell us more about your HW and SW setup, write cache, etc.?

Hopefully, someone else here can help you with the actual data rescue. I'd also advise you to post on the users mailing list. Confused

Hello,

Thanks for your reply, is using a Server Grade HW Card with BBU, I am not sure why it has corrupt these two VM's, other VM's on the Node have been perfectly fine. Which is why I am hoping this is just an Ploop error and is a way of somehow repairing the Ploop Image.

I will post on the mailinglist aswell.
