file /proc/net/sockstat does not exist with patch patch-026test018-combined [message #7056]

Hi, using kernel version 2.6.8-022stab078.14-enterprise:

[root@server1~]# vzctl exec 9889443 ls -al /proc/net/sockstat
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Oct 2 08:58 /proc/net/sockstat
[root@server1~]#

Using kernel.org 2.6.8 kernel + patch-026test018-combined:

[root@server2~]# vzctl exec 9889226 ls -al /proc/net/sockstat
ls: /proc/net/sockstat: No such file or directory
[root@server2~]#

Does anyone know what could cause this file not to be created? Can we create it on the fly?

This file is deliberately hided in 2.6.16/2.6.9-rhel4 OpenVZ kernel series, 'cause it isn't virtualized (content of this file in OpenVZ 2.6.8 is statistic for the whole hardware node, not for the VE).
