Dear All,

I am thinking to migrate the current x86 container (centos 5.5 based on the HN centos5.5) to x86_64 container (centos 6.4 based on the HD centos6.4).

I am not sure how to achieve this. Could I get some advise on this forum?

thank you

I suggest to search such reinstall in centos wiki or forum.

probably best way will be something like:
1. backup CT
2. create new CT from 64bit template, update.
3. install same repos in new CT, only for 64bit packages. "yum repolist" in old CT can help you.
4. install same packages in new CT, 64bit versions. "yum list installed" in old CT can help you.
5. copy/move config files and data to new CT. don't forget permissions and files/dirs owners and groups.
6. switch ip addresses
