I've read wiki.openvz.org/Resource_shortage#cpuunits
but I was hoping to find some clarification.

First on CPULIMIT
Quote:
CPU limits are only available in rhel5-based and rhel6-based kernels and they behave a bit differently in them.

Is this accurate? It seems odd to state the behave differently in them if only they have them. Is the statement stating that the behave differently between the 2 versions?

How does CPU UNITS/LIMIT work in multi-core machines, for example a 16 core machine that is set to 100 CPUUNITS, get's 100% of a single core, but it's CPUUNITS give it 25% of total "power of the node".

If CPULIMIT doesn't work in Debian, then giving a machine 25% of "power of the node" would give it 4 full cores to work with?
