Has anyone gotten nfsd to run inside an OpenVZ container. I keep seeing posts from people saying Kernel-based NFSD does not work, use a user-space server, but in the wiki, on the page about How to run an NFS server inside OpenVZ is says:
Kernel NFS server
Kernel-space NFS server is supported by latest RHEL5 and RHEL6 based kernels and since vzctl-3.0.24.
In order to run an NFS server inside a container, make sure:
nfsd kernel module is loaded on host system before starting a container
nfsd feature for a container is turned on (vzctl set $CTID --feature nfsd:on --save)
[edit]
So I followed the instructions, and upong starting nfs inside the container I get:
FATAL: Module nfsd not found.
FATAL: Error running install command for nfsd
Starting NFS services: [ OK ]
Starting NFS quotas: [ OK ]
Starting NFS daemon: [ OK ]
Starting NFS mountd: [ OK ]
nfs, nfsd and lockd are all loaded on the HN.
cat /proc/filesystems within the VE shows:
nodev cgroup
nodev devpts
ext4
nodev nfs
nodev nfs4
nodev delayfs
nodev devtmpfs
nodev sysfs
nodev proc
nodev tmpfs
nodev binfmt_misc
nodev fusectl
nodev fuse
nodev rpc_pipefs
nodev nfsd
Any ideas? Anyone got this runnning?
