Hi All!

vzctl set 100 --cpuunits 500 --cpus 1 --save does not working on debian squezze HOST. when i login into VPS and

cat /proc/cpuinfo it shows 4 cores, 4 cores shows top too. can someone explain why?

vzctl vershin is 3.0.24

Hi All!

I have all updated.
kernel "2.6.32-5-openvz-amd64" and vzctl 3.0.24

Probably wrong kernel. Try official RHEL5/6 kernel.
I saw somwhere here, that "Debian OpenVZ" kernels have problem with cpu parameters.

see http://openvz.livejournal.com/35500.html; cpus feature for 2.6.32 is only usable in rhel6 OpenVZ kernels

Btw, please provide OpenVZ Version:

$ cat /proc/vz/version

kernel is 2.6.32-5-openvz-amd64 version
vzctl 3.0.24

host system is debian squezze. software is up to date.
it seams that cpu limits does not works.
