-- Old Question --
Hi there,

i'm new to OpenVZ and tried to find out how to deal with the following:

I have a server running ubuntu with openvz-2.6.18 as host system. I also have a small subnet of public ips residing on another net then the host-system. The guest-systems should use the subnet.

I did setup a gentoo-guest and did configure it following the documentation.

I can ping the virtual host (VH) from the hardware node (HN) and vice versa but i can not ping the VH from the internet, nor can i ping "the internet" from the VH.

I tried source based routing, still no connection.

Have i missed some simple point or what can i do to use public IPs with a different Gateway (different from the Host-system) on the virtual servers?

Thanks for any help!
