Hello there
I run and openvz based system for 14days now.
Yesterday this starts :

[root]# Nov 29 10:06:30 MYSYS kernel: Negative vm_rss: process pid 20999 comm avbasestest flags 4, vma e35c76f4 b7b26000-b7b43000 00000000 rss 1 freed 29

Nov 29 10:06:30 MYSYS kernel: [<c04d93e3>] syscall_call+0x7/0xb

Now the system crashed all vm's. Only a reboot of the hardwarenode was helpfull.

This is reproduceable while updateing aveserver-signatures.

HW-Node is running RH-Enterprise 4 2.6.9-023stab032.1-smp #1 SMP
VPS is running debian-sarge.

Can you give me hint what causes this crash.

Best rema.

Hello,

This is a known bug, it is fixed in 2.6.9-023stab034.1, which is not released yet. However, this is the minor bug, so you can work smoothly with it before the new stable kernel will be released.

HTH,
Vasily.
