2.6.16-026test017.1-smp
VE distro template is Fedora 4

After installing x11 depricated libs rpm via yum within a partition we get the following error:

bash: relocation error: /lib/libc.so.6: symbol _dl_tls_get_addr_soft, version GLIBC_PRIVATE not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Derrick

hmm... I suppose this requires gdb debugging. looks like yum has broken something there :/

You can try copy /lib directory from another working VE.

Ah, stupid users! It had nothing to do with VZ and I'm sorry I bothered the forum with this. The user had broken the link for libc.so.6. They copied /lib/libc-2.4.so from FC5 to the FC4 VE and changed the libc.so.6 link from /lib/libc-2.3.6.so to /lib/libc-2.4.so.

I fixed it.
