Is there an memory limit in rhel 6 kernel at 16 gb?
is there also a rhel6 kernel with hugemem support?

AFAIK there is no such limit.

You would be safe off if you put in the x86_64/amd64 platform stock kernel for the newer line of Intel/AMD processors.

We are using multiple IBM xseries 445 servers
(8x Xeon 3.0 Ghz SMP processors 32bit)
so we cannot install a 64 bit kernel,

rhel5 gives full support of all memory (32GB)
but after install of rhel6 we see only 16GB?

it shows full 32Gb at startup (in bios)
but after starting kernel only 16Gb (free,top...)

any suggestions why?
