I'm renting servers. Until now I had a "Core 2", but a better offer for a faster Phenom came out recently. If I got the Phenom, would the two play together (assuming they are running the same OpenVZ and same number of bits)? According to a post from 2006, it should be OK, but does that still apply today and also include live migrations?
