I am a little new so bear with me.

I recently set up a Centos 5 server, and have ran through installing openvz, I am to the part of installing the vztmpl and am unable to proced.

I entered:

yum -y vztmpl-centos-4-2.0-2

I was then given a bunch of switch options.

Are there new templates for install and where, do I need to download to the centos server or can I pull them in with the above command?

Thanks,

You do not have to install vztmpl tools, just download the precreated templates from http://wiki.openvz.org/Download/template/precreated and put those to /vz/template/cache. Then you are ready to create containers!

Do you know if the you know if they have stopped vtonf?

I was able to create a VPS and it is running however I still have some questions.

First, I am running through a tutorial and was trying to install yum to the container and am getting an error there is no OS template.

the command I ran is:

vzyum 101 install yum

after which they want to run the following command

vzyum 101 install yum-plugin-fastestmirror

Any suggestions?

Thanks, I was able to get vtonf to work as well.

Will these VPS be running a GUI? How do I remote to them, or install their OS's?

I am still looking for info on this.
