I've an openvz machine running centos 5.2

It was created with 2GB of RAM, running kernel-2.6.18-92.el5

We recently placed 8GB more RAM in the machine, but the machine only registers 3GB of it. This is because of the physical address limit in 32bit CPUs I think.

Can I upgrade the kernel to a PAE kernel without breaking anything? Has anyone else done this already and has a list of notes?

thanks dedicados,

I had thought it would be safe - tried it on a test server already with no problems.

I'll go ahead with it on my main server.

thanks again
